The two-day Koodiyattam and workshop was organized as part of a series of traditional arts performances jointly organized by the Malayalam Department and Ekalochanam. It was held on June 18 & 19 at the College Seminar Hall from 3 p.m.

Koodiyattam Performance Workshop and Mayaraman Performance Presentation Udalmozhi – Koodiyattam workshop & stage presentation The presentation was followed by a short discussion session. Prakasan presented his Ph.D Thesis on the topic Study of Malayalam Literature – Political and Cultural Analysis (Curriculum and Syllabus of Malayalam Language and Literature at University Level- A cultural and Political analysis) on June 13 at seminar hall. Prakashan’s research paper presentation and discussion took place on Monday, June 13 in the 30th seminar hall Subject: Study of Malayalam Literature – Political and Cultural Analysis. Presentation and discussion of research papers: SNGS College, Pattambi Annual Report Department of Malayalam 2016-17 Academic activitiesġ. The programme was funded by UGC and Malayalanatu Web Community Intensive studies of individual poems, seminars, debates, colloquia, exhibition of paintings by poets, documentaries, fair, book exhibition, etc., were the main highlights of the program. Based on the contours of 25 years of new poetry in Malayalam, it witnessed enthusiastic participation of poets, critics and scholars (numbering more than 800) of all generations.

In April, a extensive and innovative program titled ‘Poetry Carnival’, which took the tradition of such revolutionary initiatives forward, was organized. Kala.B, faculties of the department have submitted their PhD thesis.ġ1. Sri Santhosh.H.K, Sri P.P.prakasan, and Smt. Irayam, a reading space, exclusively for periodicals and new books started functioning inside the department.ġ0. Department celebrated the world Mother tongue day and the World Environmental Day.ĩ. Department hosted a two day workshop on Light designing in Traditional Theater and a series of performance of Koodiyattom in collaboration with Ekalochanam, a cultural organization.Ĩ.

Department organized a story writing competition for the students under Calicut University in memory of Anoop, a famous writer and a former student of the department.ħ.
